Easter Gem Hunt 2018

Friday,March 30 to Monday April 2nd.

Hi campers, Time to post our annual Tingha Easter camp for 2018.

We are booked into the Tingha Gems caravan Park yet again. Our mate Sean has moved on from the park and im yet to meet the new caretakers.

The camp will run over the Easter break,  Friday,March 30 to Monday April 2nd.

We have a pretty big line up for the weekend that will keep every one busy.

Most will arrive on Good Friday and set up. everyone can prepare their own meals for Friday but you are welcome to join in if people come together for a communal dinner. The camp kitchen is available to anyone wishing to use it.

Saturday morning we will be heading off to Billabong Blue Sapphire Park for a day chasing Sapphires and Zircons. We have organised our own private stock pile of dirt from the mine to be dumped by the creek for us to fossick through plus you can dig any where along the creek.

We will provide our $5 lunch of steak and sausage sandwiches with a drink on the day. (fees apply for the park)

That evening we are putting on a communal dinner through the caravan park and we have local musician Peter Donavon for our entertainment. (Fees apply) will let everyone know cost soon.

Sunday we are booked into Tingha sands, this is a local area where we can speck for Grass stone, crystals, Topaz etc. You just walk around looking for it on the surface. (fees apply)

We can also visit Jellybean Creek and hunt for more Jellybeans and crystals.

These events over the weekend are not compulsory to attend, its your choice what you wish to do over the weekend.

I will be cooking up a big breakfast of Bacon, Eggs, Toast and pancakes each morning, Donation tin will be out to help cover costs. Sunday lunch and communal dinner can be organised if people want this.

Now it wouldn't be Easter without a Easter Egg hunt on Sunday morning. Please bring along some chocolate eggs to share in the hunt.

Our annual Easter camp has always been a lot of fun and everyone gets some nice stones to take home.

I hope to see many of you there and hopefully we can get this camp to grow bigger and bigger into the future.
